The caves just got more diabolical

A new update is out! Here’s what’s new:
- Alien ruins deep underground, complete with moving laser systems. Be careful!
- A health bar. You can die now, although for the time being, you’ll just respawn.
- Two new variants of the Gelfis: Gelfizz and Gelfloom. I’ll leave it to you to figure out what they do!
- Improved efficiency of a few systems in the game.
- Made enemies spawn more consistently – you shouldn’t go long periods of time without seeing some sort of enemy.
- Made the escape time more lenient.
And, of course, plenty of little bugfixes and such as well, but these are the major changes. Give it a try!

With this update its getting very more-ish to explore, especially with the new big red puss bags (Gelflooms?).

There seems to be a small lag between the character landing and the thump sound effect. Also, on that landing it would be really nice if you could get a slight screen shake to give a stronger visual as well as audible impression of weight.

Ooh.. I quite like this idea, although it might be good to save it for when we have larger drillboids to control so that it can emphasize the weight difference.

At the moment the sound suggests at a heavier object than the Drillboid appears to be. Perhaps you could have a *tiny* shudder for your current Drillboid and reduce the sound’s bass, then have the shaking and bass scale up with larger Drillboids. Just a thought.

Last time I popped over to have a play there were no enemies. You’ve made some awesome improvements. I can’t wait to see where this project ends up, it’s superb =D
Controls bring me much death though any thoughts on changing them?

Any suggestions on how we could improve them? =D
